Advanced JPG Controls

all2JPG goes beyond simple format conversion by giving you fine-grained control over every aspect of your JPG output. These professional-grade settings let you optimize for quality, file size, or both, depending on your exact needs.

Quality slider — Adjust lossy compression from 10% to 100%. Lower values produce smaller files with visible artifacts, while higher values preserve detail at the cost of file size. For most photographs, a setting between 80% and 90% delivers an excellent balance.

Progressive JPEG — Enable progressive encoding so your JPG loads in successive passes from blurry to sharp. This creates a better experience for web visitors on slower connections and is recommended for any image displayed online.

Chroma subsampling — Choose between 4:4:4 (full color detail), 4:2:2 (moderate reduction), 4:2:0 (maximum compression), or auto mode. Reducing chroma subsampling significantly shrinks file size with minimal perceptible quality loss in photographs.

DPI embedding and sRGB color profile — Set a custom DPI value (such as 300 DPI for print) and embed the sRGB color profile to ensure consistent color reproduction across devices, monitors, and printers.

EXIF metadata stripping — Remove EXIF data including GPS coordinates, camera model, timestamps, and other personal information from your output files. This protects your privacy and reduces file size at the same time.

Resize and Edit

all2JPG includes a full set of resize and editing tools so you can prepare your images in a single step, without switching to a separate editor. Every adjustment is applied before the final JPG encoding, ensuring optimal quality.

Flexible resizing — Resize images by entering a specific width, height, exact dimensions, a percentage scale, or by selecting a screen preset (such as 1920×1080 or 1280×720). Aspect ratio is maintained automatically unless you choose exact dimensions.

Interactive cropper — Use the visual crop tool to select exactly the area you want to keep. The cropper supports zoom, pan, and aspect ratio constraints including free-form and square. Position your crop precisely before converting.

Background color — When converting images with transparency (such as PNG or SVG), choose the background fill color. Options include transparent, white, black, or any custom color using the color picker. This gives you full control over how transparent areas appear in the final JPG.

Color transparency tool — Remove a specific color from your image and make it transparent, with an adjustable tolerance slider for fine-tuning. This is useful for removing solid backgrounds before applying a new fill color.

Upscale prevention — Enable this option to prevent images from being enlarged beyond their original dimensions. When active, the converter will only downscale, preserving sharpness and avoiding the blurriness that comes with upscaling small images.
